ESADE MBA Jam Sessions!
Back then, it allowed those few musicians to take the stage and have fun rocking a small crowd of just about 40 people. The success of the event led this group of ESADE musicians to start the Music Club as a Social Club within the MBASA. Later during the academic year, The Music Club hosted several events of different sizes and organized the MBAT Band to rock European Business Schools at HEC.
On Friday, 30 September 2016, we celebrated the start of our new academic year 2016/17 with a historic jam. Our year-opening attracted the biggest turnout in our event history so far: 200+ people from three generations of ESADE MBA (Class of 2016, Class of 2017, and Class of 2018) and our fellow exchange students who just landed in Barcelona attended the jam session at La Nau, Barcelona.
The outgoing Music Club (Class of 2017) has the ambitious vision to make this event a long lasting ESADE MBA tradition, and thus decided to leave a little reminder to the next generation of ESADE MBAs. The signed ESADE blue ukulele is a gift form the outgoing team for the new team from Class of 2018. But we started something bigger, as well.
A new tradition is born: The ESADE Legacy Guitar! This guitar has been crowd-funded during the year-opening jam. It will be signed by every musicians, who performs on stage during the jams, from now on. We envision this guitar to be handed from generation to generation and be covered by signatures of inspired talents very soon!
