Continuing the tradition, the ESADE MBA Consulting Club visited Dubai from March 30 to April 2, 2017. The trek was a great opportunity for the participants to experience the dynamic world of consulting in Dubai. The club was hosted by companies such as AT Kearney, Bain, BCG, Delta Partners, MonitorDeloitte, McKinsey & Company, PWC, and Simon Kucher. Apart from the members experiencing office culture first hand, each firm highlighted the peculiarities and trends for consulting in the GCC, presented job opportunities and challenged participants with case studies tailored to the region, in their own styles.

Marketing around the World!

Hello fellow Marketers! One big focus area of our club this year in addition to organising case competitions like Nespresso, is knowledge sharing and enhancing the classroom experience in the new world of Marketing. On that note, in February, we launched our new initiative called “Marketing Around the world” which are knowledge sharing sessions with Marketing leaders in key global markets, be it Brazil, India or here in Europe.

We kicked off with a guest speaker from Procter & Gamble. In the 1 hour session, we obtained  a good overview about the work of a brand manager at P&G. We covered topics such as ROI of campaigns, customer segmentation, and execution of concepts. Read the rest of this entry »

Latin American Club Kick-Off

The much anticipated club kick-off drew an audience of more than 20 students with the shared interest in Latin American Business.  During the event we ate lunch, and were were able to discuss each others experiences in Latin American, as well as our thoughts about the Latin American outlook. Our club’s board also shared its plans for future events, and hosted a chat with the career service director responsible for Latin American companies. ESADE “Better Halves” Language Exchange/Intercambio de Idiomas

Learning a language is a process that comes with many challenges. One such challenge: If you don’t use it, you lose it! Further, particularly for adults, learning is best absorbed and retained when there is a clear, motivating link between the relevance of the content and learners’ lives. Danone Visit

Despite my obsessive refreshing of the Google Maps app, the highway continued to resemble more of a parking lot than a route of transportation. This was the first event that I planned for the Operations Supply Chain club, and I, and the other 5 people in my cab, was going to be late. While I tried to distract myself from my tardiness and imminent car sickness, I quickly warned the cabs filled with 14 of my peers behind me to take a different route, unfortunately, one of them received the message too late. Luckily we planned our transportation with some buffers rather than ‘just in time’ and we all made it without having to use the excuse of Spanish time. Read the rest of this entry »
