Visit to La Fageda

On May 24th The Net Impact and Family Business club set out on a trek to visit La Fageda and Nutrex. The following post will focus on the visit to La Fageda.

The group arrived at La Fageda around 12pm and got to visit the facilities. La Fageda is a local social business that employs over 60% mentally disabled people while functioning as a co-operative where the employees are provided housing as well as employment. Read the rest of this entry »

Net Impact club introduced me to Impact Investing

In February, Net Impact hosted an internal competition around impact investing. Students teams were asked to evaluate the La Fageda business model, evaluate the impact and concurrently determine whether it was a viable investment. The winner would be sent to the “Doing Good Doing Well Conference”, where they competed against other international business schools in a competition of impact investing. Hult Prize 2016 – “The Year of the App”

The Hult Prize case challenge for 2017 is out. Why should you participate?

It is safe to say that the Hult Prize competition was one of the highlights of my first MBA year at ESADE. It gave me a chance to explore a largely unknown to me area of social entrepreneurship. It helped me hone my skills during preparation and the pitching rounds of the contest. It provided a great opportunity to network with ambitious bright students from all over the world at the regional meet in London. Most importantly, it was a fun project to work on with my friends and classmates, Betsy, Moni, and Lauren (Team Tuyyo!).
