3 minutes to sell your business idea
Organised by the MBA Student Association’s Entrepreneurship Club, the Elevator Pitch Contest put our participants’ sales skills to test. Of the 26 projects submitted by individual contestants, 10 were short-listed and each contestant was given 3 minutes to convince the judging panel, formed by entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and faculty, to invest in their business idea.
With three cash prizes up for grabs in front of an audience of over 120, our special congratulations to Eric King for securing the first prize followed by Tobias Caldeweyher and Pedro Martinho in respective order.
Celebrations continued with a cocktail, sponsored by Hard Rock Café, giving current Full Time MBA participants the opportunity to network and further discuss their ideas with local entrepreneurs and potential investors.

Innovation Speed Dating
ESADE Business School’s Entrepreneurship Institute and Career Services Team partnered to launch the first edition of the Innovation Speed Dating event on 30th October. In collaboration with leading Spanish institutes, the event was designed as a meeting place between innovative projects and our Full Time MBA participants currently undertaking the Entrepreneurship course.
As an interactive “match making” event, 27 innovative ideas across the technology, science and creative categories were presented with the aim of pairing these with our MBA participants to develop structured business plans for. Apart from meeting the Entrepreneurship course’s academic objectives, the possibility exists for our MBA participants to launch the business plans and join these companies full time once they graduate from the Full Time MBA.
ESADE-BDO Entrepreneurship Awards
One of the key objectives of The ESADE MBA is to awaken participants’ entrepreneurial spirit through our Entrepreneurship course. As an integrative platform for our participants to apply the management knowledge acquired throughout the MBA into consolidated business plans, our Entrepreneurship course is approached from both the “business start-up” and “corporate intrapreneurship” perspectives.
